Prestige Travel is based in Barking, so a booking from this part of east London starts close to home. Whether you need a chauffeur-driven saloon for an early flight, a minibus for a family occasion or a coach for a group outing, we collect from addresses across Barking and the IG11 area.
Getting around from Barking
Barking station is one of the best-connected stops in east London, with c2c, District line, Hammersmith & City line and London Overground services. For plenty of journeys the train is the sensible choice. A chauffeur earns its place when the train does not suit: cases too heavy to carry across a platform, a flight that leaves before the first services, or a group that would otherwise be split across several carriages and several journeys.
Barking Riverside and the newer neighbourhoods
The Barking Riverside development has added thousands of homes along the Thames, with its own Overground station opened in 2022. Residents of the newer streets are as welcome as those of the older terraces: give us the address and we will collect from the door, with no need to find a rank or wait on a corner.
Journeys we are asked for in Barking
- Airport transfers to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend
- Weddings and engagement celebrations, with a Rolls-Royce or a Mercedes
- Proms and leavers' evenings for local schools
- Family gatherings that need a minibus rather than three separate cars
- Business travel for companies based in and around the borough
Local landmarks, if photographs are part of the plan
The ruins of Barking Abbey beside St Margaret's Church, the Tudor Eastbury Manor House and Barking Park are well-known local sights. If you are planning photographs around the area before an event, tell us the places and the order you want to visit them and we will plan the timings around your route.
Which vehicle suits a Barking booking
For airport runs and business travel, the Mercedes S-Class S580e is a quiet hybrid executive saloon. A family or a small group with luggage is better in the V-Class JetClass. Larger parties can take a minibus of 12 to 19 seats, or one of our executive coaches.
Roads and routes
The A13 runs along the southern edge of Barking and the A406 North Circular passes to the north, which puts both the M25 and the routes into central London within easy reach.
Planning an airport run from Barking
A little detail at the start makes the day go smoothly. When you enquire, it helps to tell us:
- Which airport, terminal and airline you are flying with
- How many people are travelling and how many cases, so we can choose between a saloon and a larger vehicle
- Your flight time for the outward journey, so we can agree the collection time with you
- Your return flight number, so we can track it and adjust if it is early or late
Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton are the usual choices for longer routes, and London City and Southend are popular for short-haul flights. Each has its own page with terminal information.
Weddings and celebrations with more than one pick-up
Many Barking weddings start in two places: the bride's family home and the groom's. We can plan more than one collection, and the order, timing and route are agreed with you beforehand. See our wedding cars page for the vehicles, or wedding car hire in London if the venue is in town.
Requesting a quote
Send your Barking pick-up address, the date and the number of passengers through the enquiry form, by phone or on WhatsApp. Our airport transfers, wedding cars and group travel pages explain each service in more detail.
